Speedweek Series

Speedweek is the Victorian Formula 500 Association’s longest-running and most challenging series, celebrating over 31 years of intense, high-speed racing.

Held during the Christmas and New Year period, the series packs 5 to 7 race meetings into just 8 to 9 days across top tracks in Victoria and South Australia.

It’s known as the ultimate test of endurance, skill, and consistency—making it one of the most prestigious events in Australian dirt track racing.

What makes Speedweek stand out is its ability to attract the best drivers from around Australia and even internationally, including stars from the United States. The tight schedule, changing track conditions, and fierce competition push teams to their limit’s night after night. Every round matter, and every point is hard-earned, adding to the excitement and pressure of the overall championship battle.

In a move to grow and diversify the series, the Association has welcomed Compact Speedcar’s into Speedweek, now heading into their second campaign. This initiative not only boosts the on-track action for fans but also reflects the Association’s vision to support emerging classes and help them thrive.

By including the Compacts, Speedweek becomes an even more valuable event for host venues, offering a richer, more dynamic program that benefits everyone involved—tracks, spectators, and racers alike.
